body first, breath second, voice last
This is the routine every singing class opens with — shake the body out, breathe low, lip trills, sirens, then a five-note scale. Four minutes, in that order, every day. Press begin and just follow the ring: it times each step, tells you what to do, and plays you the notes when notes help.
step one · the body

Ready when you are.
about four minutes
Shake both hands loose. Roll your shoulders back three times, slowly. Let your jaw hang open and wobble it. Then stand tall — feet under your hips, knees soft.
Singing uses your whole body, so the body goes first. Every bit of tension left in your neck, jaw or shoulders turns up in the sound later.
